Search for an Editor...

Hi,

I'm looking for editors to manage this blog, preferably from batch 2008-10.

Our wall-of-fame, it seems, has entered a phase of inactivity as nothing has been posted after the summers of 2008.

Your role would be to popularize blogging amongst your & your very eligible junior batch. You'll need to promote the feeling of expressing ones feelings (pun not intended).

Cheers

"Tomorrow" by Ishaan Bhardwaj

Tomorrow is a promise,
its is pure and its is magical,
Tomorrow is divine,
its presence is benign,
tomorrow is a promise,
a promise of a new day a day of joy ,

Tomorrow is boundless,
Tomorrow is perfect,
Tomorrow is a dream ,
Tomorrow is a perfection its abstract,
its shallow and its deep,

Tomorrow is a sorrow,
Tomorrow is a remorse
for what is not today is left for tomorrow
Tomorrow is nirvana
it is ecstasy it is a new high

Tomorrow is a question
its a string of faith
it is the answer and it is the ultimate
Tomorrow is tearsit is death and birth
for life is until tomorrow
tomorrow is never forever
what is tomorrow is today....

"Don't Quit" by Krishna

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out:
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
it’s when things seem worst that you must not quit

"PEACE" by Shrikant

We always think of ourselves and neglect others. The husband always thinks what his wife should do for him and vice versa. Why don’t we instead think of what we can do for others? If we can, then it will bring about universal benefit. When we learn to live for others, they too do things for us. Never think what you will get out of it. You shall definitely get something from the Almighty. You shall reach Him and that will bring eternal joy. A life filled with joy and peace means the presence of God within you.

On the contrary we opt for a losing bargain. We exchange peace for money and lose calm over physical comforts. Then we question our own foolishness, "I have every thing but there is no peace. Why?" Who stops us if we want Peace? In reality, “we” only act as if we do not need peace. The path to peace is very simple. If the quest for peace starts with love, one surely reaches one's destination. In that case love, sympathy, and generosity replace lust, anger, and greed. There is no doubt that the individual earns the blessings of God if he learns to live for others.

Now it is for us to decide our course. Do we want to enter a losing bargain? Love is such a wealth that increases if you distribute. Lust, etc. the enemies within, shall be annihilated when we are blessed by the Lord with love, openness and generosity in our life. So, learn to live for others and “peace” shall automatically follow and life shall be filled with joy and goodness.

"In pursuit of happiness," by Neha Prakash

Happiness is not the end of everything
Neither is it the beginning of anything

Those who pursue it eagerly,
Fail to find it
Those who fight for it, always lose it

Thinking of pains that others inflicted
And looking for it in memories so restricted
Are the ones who often return disheartened and lose their way

There are those who wait for the oceans to calm down
Holding tight to false images and afraid to realize the changes,

I have known people waiting for one moment of happiness,
Through the towering piles of sadness
But fail to realize even one such instance

But there are those who have lived through sadness
And yet do not cry….
For they know it's better to smile for the ones who have been by your side

They know changes happened as they were deemed to be
For matters could have been worse
They don't wait for the sun to rise but live every moment of life
And they are the ones who find happiness by and by.

"I walk down the street..."

I walk down the street.
There is a hole.
I don't see it.
I fall in.
It isn't my fault.
It takes a very long time to get out.

I walk down the same street.
There is still a deep hole.
I pretend not to see it.
I fall in.
I pretend it's still not my fault.
It takes a long time to get out.

I walk down the same street.
There is still the same deep hole.
I see it.
I fall in anyway.
It's a habit.
I get out quicker this time.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole.
I see it.
I walk around it.
I don't fall in.

I walk down a different street!!!

"My heartiest tribute"

This write up is my heartiest tribute to all those people at NIILM who were always there besides me, during my journey from NIILM-CMS to F1F9, with all their experience to guide me through.

After All...

My stay at NIILM carved out my inner self into a new being to whom this world is no longer a stranger.

I came to know that this world is not always a sweet place to live in. You are the one who got to make sweet. Its not how it treats you but how you make it deal with you. You are the one who's responsible for whatever happens here with you. At NIILM, I got familiarized with two categories of people around me, one comprises of those who are not your friends but are always ready to make you realize that and will shred you off whenever required and the other belongs to those who are your frnd but never tells you and are always besides you whenever your'e alone. I got to deal with people mainly from the former one.

That 18 month's learning experience was far more wonderful than what I had gained in past 21 years. When I came I was a roamer. Now I know what is my destination. I know how to deal with people from both the categories.

I've now learned to fight. Fight for recognition, fight for growth and fight for survival. I've learned to manage people around me and my life.

After all, I'm a manager now.
