Friends & Friendship, by Amit Khanna

FRIENDSHIP-: What a wonderful word to read or to say. But has anyone of us ever tried to understand what this wonderful thing means? The principles of Friendship are TRUST, HELP and UNDERSTANDING.

FRIEND-: Friend is derived from the word meaning “FREE”. A friend is someone who allows us the space and freedom “to be“.

At young age, we make lots of friends. Some good – Some bad. It is up to us what sort of friends we choose because the kind of friends we choose; sooner or later, we automatically become the same kind. Real friends are those who when you have made a fool of yourself, don’t feel that you have done a permanent job. A friend is someone on whom you can depend upon. Even at midnight or in the twilight from dusk to dawn he will always be there for you and won’t complain ever if you wake him up from his sweetest dreams. So remember, “A friend in NEED is a friend INDEED “.

Friendship is not diminished by distance or time, by imprisonment or war, by suffering or silence. It is from these things that it FLOWERS.

A great English writer calls “FRIENDSHIP” the nursery of abiding bonds. A true friend always keeps the flame of bonds going even beyond this physical world. So true FRIENDS and true FRIENDSHIP are the must things for a successful living here, on this plain planet (EARTH).

Last but not the least…IN MY OPINION A FRIEND IS-:

F……………………………First
R...........Relative
I……………………………In
E……………………………Every
N...........Necessary
D……………………………Decision
